This framework helps organisations working with young people in Northern Ireland to understand and measure the impact they have on the journey to employment. It identifies the factors that affect young people’s journeys to work and presents a model that can be used by organisations to help them think about their impact, map the outcomes they aim to achieve, and decide how to structure an evaluation. It also provides a list of tools that can be used to evaluate programmes.

NPC worked in partnership with Northern Ireland’s NEETs forum, the Building Change Trust and Inspiring Impact Northern Ireland to add additional outcomes to the JeT framework, specific to a Northern Irish context, including perceptions of personal safety, inter-community engagement, support from family and friends, and resisting negative peer influence.
