LEAF-7 is a tool that measures quality of life changes over time. It has been developed by Age UK Wakefield District which is a local independent charity working with and for older people as a local partner of Age UK. The existing measure is the third version of the tool following improvements to make it more robust and amenable for older people to use. It has been adopted by Age UKs across the Yorkshire and Humber region for several projects funded by the Department of Health. Since January 2015, the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has required all voluntary organisations that come through the CCG referral gateway to use LEAF-7.
