Blog: Survey to understand how you access impact measurement tools

Published:7th September 2012

Help us understand how charities and social enterprises access the tools, systems and approaches they need to measure their impact, and what we can do to make it easier.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed their views to our call for tools earlier this year. The next stage of our work looks at how charities and social enterprises access the tools, systems and approaches they need to measure their impact—and importantly, what can we do to make these tools more accessible?

We invite you to contribute to a short survey, to help us understand the barriers and incentives around accessing impact measurement approaches, systems and tools. We hope this will help us design new and better routes to the many resources out there, and offer an insight into what matters for frontline organisations when it comes to finding the tools to measure.

The survey is aimed at charities and social enterprises that deliver services to support people or other organisations, and have a need to demonstrate their impact.

The survey would be best completed by someone with responsibility for monitoring, evaluation and performance management within the charity or social enterprise, so please do pass this message on if you feel someone is better placed to respond than you.

You can access the survey here.

We very much appreciate your input, and we would welcome the opportunity to share findings with you as the project develops.

If you have further questions about the survey please contact Substance who are leading on this element of the Inspiring Impact work at info@substance.coop.
