CDHN to lead the way in NI for Inspiring Impact

Published:13th February 2020

Inspiring Impact is delighted to announce that Community Development & Health Network (CDHN) is its new lead in Northern Ireland. Inspiring Impact supports people who work and volunteer for charities and social enterprises across the UK. The programme provides peer learning networks and online resources so that the community and voluntary sector can improve its impact measurement and learn from others.

Having worked with Community Evaluation Northern Ireland (CENI), the previous lead for Inspiring Impact Northern Ireland, on several programmes and projects, CDHN is very keen to build on the excellent work CENI has established and bring added value to Inspiring Impact across Northern Ireland.

‘We are delighted to be NI lead for Inspiring Impact. As a values-based organisation, our values are very much in keeping with the partnership ethos and principles of Inspiring Impact. We have a wide network of members and long established connections and are totally committed to the programme priorities, we see these as adding real value to the work of our organisation.’

Joanne Morgan, Director of CDHN

Joanne continued ‘CDHN was a champion organisation as part of Phases one and two of Inspiring Impact in Northern Ireland (IINI) and we remain committed to excellent impact practice. The landscape has changed significantly over the last decade in terms of how we understand and articulate the difference we make as individual organisations and a collective sector. The language has changed, the tools have improved and the opportunities now exist to skill up and demonstrate the difference we all make.

CDHN is very excited to be able to offer this support to organisations, large and small, across the community, voluntary and social enterprise sectors.’

Kate Laverty, CEO of CENI, noted how pleased CENI was that the legacy of Inspiring Impact would be continued by CDHN saying ‘Our work with CDHN this year affirms that they are the best possible charity to champion impact practice in Northern Ireland.  Their regional remit, grassroots approach, and community development ethos position them perfectly to provide support and guidance to the community, voluntary and social enterprise sectors.’
